DII Report: DII baseball preview — The GAC
NINE teams finished above .500 last year in one of the deepest conferences in DII baseball.
We are just a couple of weeks from the opening of the DII baseball season. Today, we preview the GAC, which has a bevy of teams that can contend for a title. Make sure you catch up on all the other conferences I have previewed so far as opening day approaches.
Previous fall reports: SSC | LSC | PSAC | MIAA | Conference Carolinas | GSC | PBC | SAC | GLVC | RMAC | NE10 | PacWest | G-MAC | CCAA | GNAC
I want to know!
Before we get into the latest DII fall report, I have a question for the readership. I am completely overwhelmed by the support I have received since turning to a subscription-based model. It is very important that I keep the DII Report a community, where the reader has a say.
So, What other content would you like to see from the DII Report? As we wind down the DII baseball fall reports, we’ll shift into college baseball season and my regional analysis and bracket/field of 56 projections. I am thinking that the spring will see DII football spring reports, where I may not necessarily look at every conference, but some of the top 25/powerhouse programs.
What else are you wanting to read?
Now, on with the show!

GAC facts to know:
Oklahoma Baptist has a lot of turnover this year but was rather potent in the conference last year. The Bison led the GAC in hitting (.335) by 31 points, belted 93 home runs, and scored nearly 80 more runs than any other team.
Southern Arkansas led the conference in ERA (4.31) and issued the least walks with some of those arms that made that happen returning.
Northwestern Oklahoma State has three hitters in the top 7 of the GAC leaderboard: Carson Wright (.389), Chad Green (.385), and Dylan Bradford (.380). All three are back.
