Which teams have a chance to dethrone the SSC as kings of the South Region?

Welcome back to the DII baseball fall reports. This week we turn our attention to the South Region and the GAC. If you are just joining, you have already missed the SSC, LSC, PSAC, Conference Carolinas, and the MIAA, so be sure to subscribe and get caught up.

The Gulf South Conference is the unfortunate victim of playing in the South Region. So, despite the fact that there are typically three to four title contenders each season, they all have to go through the Sunshine State Conference to make it Cary. The last time a team outside the SSC made the final eight was back in 2017 when Delta State made its run to Grand Prairie, Texas, with a roster loaded with talent.
