Saturday saw more rain, but it also saw Cole Calnon toss a complete game. Calnon improved to 12-0 on the season and only allowed a run in the ninth when UT Tyler’s Justin Williams went yard. DH Cris Enriquez provided all the runs the Nighthawks would need, driving in Nin Burns II in the first inning and then launching a massive 411-foot home run that disappeared into the right-field trees and could potentially still be going.
Calnon, Enriquez and head coach Joe Schaefer joined me after the game from the indoor batting cages as yes, more rain began to fall in Cary. Here are a few sights and sounds I captured in the moment as well.
