DII Report™️: Ferris State looks to repeat in DII football
A lot of new faces, but the mission is the same. Here are key players and transfers to watch.

Stop me if you heard this one. Ferris State enters the season as the defending DII football national champions. It is the third such time the Bulldogs will do so in the past four seasons, having won the title in 2022, 2023, and now 2025.

Ferris State, which plays in the battle-tested GLIAC, has been king of Super Region Three for the past few seasons, and head coach Tony Annese has made the program a guaranteed playoff team and perennial national championship contender. Despite a bevy of losses — including Harlon Hill Trophy finalist Trinidad Chambliss — the Bulldogs look like they will be right back in the hunt in 2025.
