The 2025 DII baseball season is coming down the home stretch. As we near the first regional rankings (don’t forget to keep up with my weekly “Field of 56” projections) let’s turn our attention from teams to players.

The list of 2025 DII baseball player-of-the-year candidates is relatively deep this year. Over the coming weeks, the DII Report will attempt to break down a few of the top players in contention for the award. Let’s start things off with Regis catcher, Adam Paniagua.

All the way back in November, I picked Paniagua as the RMAC preseason player of the year and put Regis in my sleeper “don’t be surprised” category, mainly because of his bat. So, what do we know about Paniagua?
