DII Report: A New Day of DII Coverage
There is a new FREE newsletter for you to subscribe to today. Check it out.
Dear readers,
This isn’t an article, but more of a letter. Firstly to apologize for the DII Report going dormant. However, know that it is not a reflection of my DII coverage — I am still at the ball fields every weekend and still writing articles at NCAA.com.
There have been quite a few things in the works, and I want to explain what’s happening and what you may (should immediately!) want to do to keep up with coverage. First and foremost, this is a reminder that DII sports beat writer is my second job. Simply put, my “day job,” as I call it, comes first, and with a recent promotion, it has been very busy.
Secondly, there have been new opportunities to pursue (more on that in a bit). So, something had to get cut back, and for the time being, it was this DII Report. However, the DII Report isn’t going away, it is simply in hibernation for a little longer.
So… why am I writing this? Because you need to know where to find me.
Most importantly, if you follow my baseball insights, any of my Power 10s, all-stats teams, or my predictions that you love to hate, you will have to follow the new FREE and official DII Newsletter. This is from TNT Sports, so it will be a lot fancier than this. That said, slowly, we are transitioning all the big pieces of mine you have come to love to hate into that newsletter. Basically, if you want to keep reading my DII coverage, you NEED to subscribe today. It’s totally free and will stay that way, delivering all my DII insights to your inbox every Tuesday. Every SID and coach that is subscribed to this should subscribe to that ASAP. It’s simple, just sign up here (an example of what it looks like below) or, if that doesn’t work, click here and be sure to check “Division II Newsletter” at the bottom.
(This should pop up on the first link — see how easy it is to subscribe.)
Secondly, I will be contributing to the fellas at D2 Baseball Insider. This is a very exciting time for DII baseball, now with an entire magazine dedicated to the coverage of the sport. No other DII sport can boast that kind of coverage — an actual magazine.
I will be contributing one article a month for now — aptly named Cavadi’s Corner — which highlights what I saw at the ball fields on the weekend and some other takeaways. Now, this magazine does take time to produce, so it isn’t free. But if you like my DII baseball insights and the insights of DII baseball insiders Andrew Hill, Robert Frey, and Will Conerly, it is worth it to subscribe. Interviews, stat breakdowns, conference leaders, and me. And since you are DII Report subscribers, I can give you 10% off using CAVADISCORNER as the code when you sign up. Subscribe here today.
As always, I want to continue to give as much attention to DII as I can. The only way I can do that is if you all sign up for that official (and FREE!) DII Newsletter, so please consider doing so today.
Thank you all for your support and I hope you follow along on the next leg of the journey.
